I am grateful to Akademibokhandeln in Triangeln for hosting my first book signing. The staff were very positive and supportive. A few years ago it was difficult for me to even tell someone I was working on a book. Today I sat by the entrance of a store with a big banner behind me and books on the table. Hundreds of people I did not know walked by the store and briefly shared eye contact or noticed the banner. I did my best to be myself and share positivity. Some of the people who came into the store led to meaningful conversations. I learned a lot and will carry the experience with me into the future.
There is still some way to go before people line up to have a book signed by me but step by step.
