Something that has made a huge difference in my life when it comes to improving my communication, self-confidence and becoming a better person is being an active member of Toastmasters International for the past 8 years. Toastmasters provides a positive and supportive environment for its members to improve their public speaking, leadership and communication skills. The four core values of the organisation are integrity, respect, service and excellence, which bind more than 260,000 members around the world.
Since July 2025, I have been serving as the Club Growth Director for @d95toastmasters, which means I am responsible for growing membership and building new clubs in Denmark, Germany, Norway and Sweden. Over the weekend, I attended Mid-year Leadership Training in Muscat, Oman, together with other District Trio members from across Europe as well as parts of Asia and Africa. One of the highlights was connecting, sharing ideas and challenges with other Club Growth Directors.
We are all committed to growing the organisation. In addition to learning from and inspiring each other, we shared many laughs over the two days. It was an amazing experience to attend the training and I will take time to reflect, to ensure the learnings lead to a stronger District 95, so more people can enjoy and gain the benefits that the organisation offers. It was also an honour to have representatives from the International Board present, including Aletta Rochat, the International President of the organisation.
