If the answer is yes, it could be a sign of low self-esteem. Instead of continuing to seek validation, I recommend that you train and strengthen your self-esteem. Just like a muscle, self-esteem can be trained and built with time and effort.
Here are three tips to get you started:
Challenge yourself to do things that feel uncomfortable.
Say what you really think, instead of what you think others want to hear.
When you make a mistake, reflect on what you can learn and then move on instead of criticizing yourself.
Remember, sometimes it’s best to just laugh at yourself. No one is perfect, and that’s okay. Think about how boring the world would be if we all thought and acted the same. By strengthening your self-esteem, I believe you will experience more meaning and joy in life. Do you have any tips of your own for strengthening your self-esteem?
